The Meaning of Family

When I hear the word "family" I don't think of just people that I am related to by blood and marriage. I think of all the people close to me. People who are in my life no matter what happens. Someone who cares and I can trust. My family is full of relatives, friends, and even pets. Family is simply a group of people that will never purposely hurt you and will be there if someone else does. They are a group of people that supports one another.
My family is full of a variety of people. There are relatives, close friends of mine and my relatives. There are multiple generations in my family.
The quote, "Families evolve from a patchwork of possibilities" means that family comes from all over. There are mulitple possibilities about your family. It can be different races, skills, assets that you didn't know people had.
From a family of two can expand to millions. If I consider my best friend my family, her sister is connected to my family, so her sister's best friend is a family member to all three of us in someway. So everyone is connected one way or another. If you are mean to one person on this earth then you are being mean to a part of your family. Every person of your family is a patch of long green grass. If you destroy one person, there will be a brown spot on the grass.

I agree with everything that you said, especially about being mean to a certain person. What you said made me realize it could hurt someone in your family in some way.

Wow. this is really good. I really like your comparison to the grass, it makes you really think about what family is. Good Job Twin!
